LOVE LANGUAGE: First Love
Love Language is Copious Love's annual fundraiser to support our upcoming season. Our event will feature short theatrical works based on the theme "First Love," whatever that may mean to you. Selected pieces will be presented as staged readings, similar to our Plays on Tap series. We'll be in our favorite space at Jules Maes to celebrate together. We look forward to your submission and getting to know you and your work!
All writers will receive a $50 stipend for selected pieces. Copious Love will provide casting and direction services.
Eligibility:
Must be Pacific Northwest-based and available to attend the event or prior rehearsal.
All document submissions must be submitted blindly with no playwright names appearing on any page.
Pieces may be plays, songs, poems, or prose.
Length of piece should be no more than 10 minutes.
4 actor limit. Can have more characters, but double-casting plan must be included.

PLAYS ON TAP SUBMISSIONS WILL OPEN SOON FOR 2027 SEASON!
Plays On Tap is Copious Love's exploration of new plays from Seattle writers. Our aim is to holistically support you as you craft your story in an adaptable, personalized, and thoughtful process. For a selection of playwrights this upcoming season, we'll provide a professional director, dramaturg, and actors, as well as a performance space in the oldest bar in Seattle. We look forward to your submission and getting to know your work!
All writers accepted into Plays on Tap are provided a $250 stipend. Copious Love will provide casting and direction services.

Must be Pacific Northwest-based and available to attend the reading.
All document submissions must be submitted blindly with no playwright names appearing on any page.
Plays can have no more than one production (readings, workshops, and developmental productions don’t count).
5 actor limit. Can have more characters, but double-casting plan must be included.
We can’t accept musicals at this time.
